Great Idea, Now What?
So you have this idea and you’re sure there’s a market for it. Great, now you have 2 out of 3 things you’ll need to be successful. Unfortunately, the first two won’t matter if you don’t have what’s behind curtain number 3, a plan to market it.
Although there are no guarantees in business, you can increase your odds of being successful if you go in having an idea how to market your product or service. Ideally, you want to do this before you even start production or even investing your time and hard earned money. After all, what good is an idea if no one knows about it? Assuming you’ve done all your market research and you know exactly who your audience is and where to find them, how are you going to reach them?
Hooray, you’re in luck! There are plenty of ways to achieve this and plenty of resources and tools to execute them, many of which are either free or low cost. There may not always be an obvious answer so be prepared to do a little homework and even for some trial and error. I highly recommend simply asking around, It’s better to spend a little time and money trying different strategies than spending a lot of time and money on something that isn’t working…take your time, have a plan.
